Party checklist for Mother's Day

Feeling stressed about giving your mom a party for Mother's Day? Relax, there's still time.
Mother's Day, which is 10 days away, is a day to give thanks to your mother and to show her, possibly through gifts and an assortment of food, that she means the world to you.
One of the best and most efficient ways to convey such a message is with a card. It may be wise to pick one up soon because as the holiday draws near, the local card shops will be pounded by desperate, last-minute shoppers.
Next, make sure you've invited everyone you should, which includes family members, your mother's friends and anyone else you can think of who might want to celebrate the day with your mom.
As with food, have a specific menu thought out, even if it's just going to be a family cookout with burgers and hotdogs. Take into account how many people will be attending and estimate how much they might eat (with a cookout, say two burgers or hotdogs for each attendee to be safe).
And don't forget party decorations, which can range from hanging up streamers to printing out pictures of your mom and hanging them on the wall.
