Giving a wedding celebration a woodland theme
June 04, 2009
Many couples are looking for ways to make their special day as unique as possible and some have done this through a dynamic theme that coordinates with the party decorations, according to some industry experts.
One of the top current wedding themes is described as "woodland/rustic," which can incorporate the natural beauty of a forest into the reception.
Clearly, the big element involved is wood or at least a prominent use of the color dark brown throughout the reception hall. Candles held in a simple iron holder or on a metal plate can also set the atmosphere for a more down-to-earth wedding.
Other colors that can be used include dark green and maybe even violet, especially if your bouquet has that color in it.
A vintage feel can also be used for a rustic-themed wedding and can be achieved by borrowing some old furniture from a grandparent or using some family heirlooms as decorations.
The main idea is for everything to be comfortable and calming, the same way you would feel taking a walk in the woods.
