A party with princesses and pirates
June 23, 2009
Sometimes no matter what a party planner tries to do, there's no getting around two guests of honor who want conflicting party themes, which can be a common occurrence in families with twins.
As a way to fix it, combine the two party themes into one event and just let the kids run in a wild world where pirates hunt for treasure and princesses have tea parties in another room.
While this pleases the guests, it can also offer party planners a chance to flex their creative muscles and incorporate some interesting party decorations. For instance, one side of the room can have a castle while another side can have a pirate ship.
This can lead to fun competitive party games with the pirates against the princesses, though that is assuming both sides want to mingle.
If not, just be sure there is a common area that has food for everyone to enjoy. For pirates, think about placing some snacks in a makeshift treasure chest. Princesses may enjoy grabbing chips out of a fake jewelry box.
