Consider seating chart for wedding reception
July 07, 2009
A wedding day can be hectic thanks to a tight schedule that may require guests to travel from the site of the ceremony to the reception hall.
One way to speed along the process is to make the day as organized as possible for the guests. Include concise driving directions from locations such as the ceremony to the hotel in the wedding invitations, along with the phone number of a couple of trusted family members to call in case someone gets lost.
At the reception, consider arranging the table assignments in alphabetical order so that people aren't milling around the table and searching for their name in a sea of folded cards.
Once a guest has located his or her card that has the number or name of their assigned table, have a seating chart nearby so that they can see in which area of the room they are situated. This will prove the most useful for parties with a large guest list.
Providing a streamlined approach to the wedding reception will not only assist your guests to get to their seats quickly, but may make at least part of your day run a bit smoother.
