Rekindle the past with a Facebook party
July 14, 2009
By now, most people have heard of the popular social networking site Facebook that allows people to find friends and family on the internet.
Though it is a good communication tool and an easy way to post recent pictures for other users to see, one of the guilty pleasures of the site is searching for old classmates to see what they're up to now.
In many ways, it's like going to your high school reunion sans the awkward conversations and uncomfortable silences.
So why not incorporate the group aspect of a reunion but do it from home instead? A simple Facebook party can accomplish that, provided you have a couple of old high school or college friends in town.
Have your computer placed in an area where it will be easy for everyone to see. It may also be a good idea for someone to dig out their old yearbook as a way to look for old or forgotten friends.
Consider playing music from the year you and your friends graduated. If you can't remember, simply search Billboard charts for the year you graduated in.
Also make sure there's plenty of finger foods and snacks for people to munch on, especially during those "Is that really her?" moments.
