Personalizing party favors
July 17, 2009
What's in a name? When you're having a party, it can be everything.
Party planners interested in giving their guests something a little different to take home may want to consider personalizing a party favor for them.
One idea is to give everyone a coffee mug with their name on it, and maybe with a little symbol on the side.
This will also help to keep things organized during the event since people will be using the same mug the entire time.
Consider adding a special nickname or a memory associated with that person to personalize the party favor even more.
Having your guests walk around with mugs that have their name is a nice alternative to the tired Hello-my-name-is stickers that are used as simple ice breakers.
This way not only can your guests mingle, but they can compare each other's mugs and talk about any memories or inside jokes highlighted on them.
Though they are coffee mugs, don't feel like you are only required to serve coffee in them. Any kind of beverage is fine. However if you are serving a variety of refreshments, be sure there is a sink handy so people can rinse off their mugs.
