Fried dough pizza party
July 27, 2009
Most everyone loves fried dough and pizza, so taking the two and combining them could be the recipe for party greatness.
Clearly, this requires knowing how to make fried dough. Most grocery stores sell the pizza dough in small plastic bags. Bring it home and place in a large mixing bowl. Cover it with a towel to help the rising process.
After that, spread the dough out and place a little cooking oil in a pan. Be sure to heat it on low, as having too much heat can burn you.
Once the dough has been fried, place it on plates for your guests to bring over to the toppings and sauce table. While some people may like to have toppings such as pepperoni and cheese placed on top of the warmed-up pizza sauce, others may want to place the fried dough in the oven to melt the cheese.
Either one is fine, though if more people want to heat their pizza up in the oven, be sure to save time by doing it in groups.
Finally, for decorations, use a white and red checkered tablecloth (the ones found in traditional pizza parlors) and consider hanging up pictures of pizza slices on the wall.
