Indulge and have a dessert buffet

Why go through the hassle of a meal just to get to the best part?

Some parties, as well as some weddings, have been laying out a generous spread of dessert dishes, allowing guests to have little bite-size portions of numerous treats.

Be sure to decorate the dessert table with a colorful table cloth or one with a creative design. Dessert is a fun aspect of eating and should be treated as such with the party decorations.

In terms of the desserts, do not think you have to bake or prepare everything. Lighten the load by asking some of your guests to contribute to the dessert buffet. This will give your dessert table more options as opposed to you making everything yourself.

One thing to keep in mind is variety. While a mountain of sugar cookies may sound like a good idea to you, some of your guests may want something different. Talk to each person coming and, if need be, assign certain types of desserts.

Finally, have goodie bags ready for your guests so they can take whatever dessert leftovers they want home with them, provided there are some left!
