Spa parties heating up for women

A new party trend is emerging among newly engaged women that combines the joy of being pampered with a girls-day out.

While spa parties have always been one of the popular outings among women, it's been hampered by the fact that these groups were forced to venture out of the house and into a beauty salon or facility.

However, women like Hannah Williams from Chicago are bringing the aspects of a spa into her living room, allowing all her friends to talk with each other while getting a pedicure, facial and massage, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Williams told the news provider she threw a spa party for herself a year ago for her bachelorette party and has been hooked on them since.
"We all had so much fun hanging out at home in our robes and getting pampered," Williams said. "I have already hosted another party since then."

Women interested in doing the same may want to decorate their living room with a certain theme or décor to convey the fun, girls-only feeling they may want to produce that day. This may be done through a relaxing atmosphere created with candles, soft music and dim lighting.
