Get the football fans together for an NFL party
August 21, 2009
With the regular football season nearly here, it may be good to start planning your first NFL-watching party for you and your friends.
Football games are always better to watch with a crowd, possibly because it allows the party planner to set out a larger variety of food!
Use football-shaped party invitations to set the theme and consider asking people to bring a bag of chips and soda to the event.
Party decorations should celebrate the game, with pictures of goalposts and football helmets on the wall. One idea is to keep score of a particular game you and your guests are watching with a make-shift scoreboard on the wall. It might also be fun to separate the guests into two camps that will chair for their respective teams.
As for party favors, since everyone has their own favorite team, why not get personalized mugs or signs declaring them the World's Biggest (insert team name here) Fan?
Don't forget the food staples of any successful football party: chips and dip, chicken wings, pizza and various finger foods.
