Extreme stunts party with safety on the side
August 27, 2009
Thanks to a new documentary in theaters that was released last weekend, kids may be more excited than usual about attempting tricks on their skateboards and bikes.
The film in question is X Games 3D: The Movie and features professional athlete and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White.
In an effort to ensure a child's safety while they inevitability try to do more tricks, why not have an extreme sports party where there can be some level of parental supervision?
Send out invitations and make sure to write that each guest must have a helmet and protective pads on whenever they are on their bike or skateboard.
The next step is to create a mini-bike/skate area on your property. This may require some light craftsmanship in terms of building a ramp (there are plenty of online tutorials) for bikers. Half-pipes for skateboarders may be a bit more difficult, but not impossible.
Be sure to have a first aid kit handy, as well as some refreshments nearby, since the guests will likely be thirsty after they try a couple of tricks.
