Host your own VMA do-over

MTV may producers wish they could have the opportunity to redo a few moments of Sunday's Video Music Awards (VMAs). Unfortunately, the show's airing has come and gone, but that doesn't mean you can't recreate the night in your own home.

Invite friends over for a VMA-themed night. Roll out a red carpet to welcome your guests and decorate your home with hanging, flashing lights to offer your guests a paparazzi-inspired experience.

Ask each guest to dress up like their favorite VMA attendee to see who can pull off the best Beyonce or come close to Lady Gaga's creative costuming.

Treat your friends famously by serving sparkling grape juice in ornate glasses with jeweled glass tags. Serve small, clean snacks like mini-sandwiches and white grapes to ensure minimal staining on the high-fashion clothing.

Test your friends' video and music knowledge by playing short snippets of winning videos and songs and making your guests identify them. After the game, reward each of your close, personal celebrity friends with goodie bags like the ones the stars receive customized to their alias for the night. Don't forget to throw a plastic microphone and empty bottle in Kanye West's prize bag.
