Hold a Patrick Swayze tribute party

Consider inviting your friends over for a Swayze movie marathon to commemorate the actor's career and celebrate his life's work.

Ask every guest to bring one movie and come up with 5 trivia questions about each film. Start with the earliest film and work your way to the present, stopping between flicks to quiz the group on their Swayze know-how.

Assign point values to each trivia question and print pictures of each of the movie covers so your guests can keep track of their score.

Decorate your home with posters of the late icon. You can even turn your viewing room into the lodge from Dirty Dancing using crepe paper and resort-themed décor.

Serve your guests food inspired by Swayze's home state, Texas. Ribs, corn on the cob, cole slaw and, of course, watermelon will ensure you don't have to run out for a snack mid-viewing.

After you finish your selections, see who can best recreate the dance scene in Dirty Dancing. Award the best dancers and winner of Swayze trivia with the movie of their choice.
