Turn fall decorating into a bash

Take a new spin on window stickers by getting the kids on board for a fall decorating party.
Before the festivities, make up goodie bags filled with fall treats, such as candied apples or baggies of candy corn. Use these as prizes for decorating superlatives later, such as the most creative decoration or the most helpful interior designer.
Using traditional seasonal window stickers for inspiration, supply your mini Martha Stewarts with construction paper, scissors, markers and glitter to design their own window decorations.
Print out pictures of each child's face beforehand and have them use their supplies to design a scarecrow version of themselves that they can hang on their bedroom doors.
Take the party outside by hiding outdoor decorations around your yard. Challenge the kids to find them and design a map outlining where they'll be placed.
Once the kids have their design set up, take the opportunity to get a family photo to send out to friends. Go back inside and work together to come up with a design for a card to hold the photos and wish friends and family a happy fall.
