After an off-season filled with Duchovny drama, Californication returns to Showtime this Sunday, September 27, offering a great opportunity to bring fellow fans together for a viewing party.

Invite your friends over to catch up with your favorite barely functional pseudo-family. Give your guests a taste of the west coast by decorating your living room with inflatable palm trees or a giant reproduction of the Hollywood sign.

Before the show, gather your motley crew for a grown-up dinner party like the one Karen attempted to throw in the last season. Serve an ornately organic meal, such as sushi, but make sure no one has a food allergy like Lou Ashby's. You might even offer Hank's four-cheese delight as a side dish.

Adorn the table with zen-like plants and serve your drinks and food from funky, oddly shaped glasses and plates.

After dinner, play a game to get everyone up to speed on what's going on with the Moodys. You might have each guest recite the best line from their favorite character and encourage everyone to guess who said what.
