Hold a Premier Pop Quiz
September 23, 2009
Now that fall's favorite shows are premiering this week, you can bring your friends together to test their TV knowledge.
Have each guest sign up for a show they watch religiously. Ask them to come up with five trivia questions based on the first episode of the season and submit them to you ahead of time.
Create your own show-themed sets of question cards. Choose an image from each program and print five copies of it. Write the trivia questions on the back using puffy pens or brightly colored markers.
Turn your living room into a game show stage. Divide your group into teams based on the professions featured in the programs, giving them names such as the Seattle Grace Residents or the Crime Scene Investigators.
Adorn each team's designated area according to their show's premise. You might use caution tape or hospital décor.
Before the contest begins, rank each team on their ability to dress like the team's theme. Award the winner extra points toward their ultimate score and jump into a high-stakes trivia to see who puts the "prime" in primetime.
After the game, invite everyone to stay and the watch whichever show is on the tube the night of your party. Just make sure you set your DVR in case the games turn into extended episodes.
