Get crafty planning your next party

If you can't find enough hours in the day to practice proper etiquette when you're planning your next party, get the kids on board for a card design session.
Set up workstations for each of your little artists to get their creative juices flowing when they create customized invitations and thank-you cards. Encourage them to be imaginative to make sure their designs beat out any boring store-bought paper products.
Give each kid a stencil, sticker or stamp sets tailored to the theme of the party. For example, find food shapes for a dinner party or autumnal designs for a fall-inspired fete. Give them glitter, markers construction paper matching the color scheme you will use to decorate.
Make them your amateur party planners by using the time to test-run your menu on them. Once you've all decided what to include, have them design menus customized to each guest.
Reward your assistants by making them the guests of honor at your big bash. Give them special recognition in front of all of your guests and let them know how much you appreciate their hard work. You might have an easier time getting their help in the future and feel good knowing you laid the foundations for good hospitality.
