Halloween Trends for 2009

Are you still stumped for a Halloween costume?

As with most years, a big trend in Halloween costumes for 2009 will be
celebrities in the news - expect a lot of Farrah Fawcetts and Michael
Jacksons ringing your doorbell this year (the implications of
Thriller-era Jackson should be self-evident). Also feel free to draw
inspiration from celebs that have been selling out the supermarket
tabloids, like Kate and Jon Gosling or Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

Another fun costume idea is a group theme - choose a TV show that
everyone in your group watches, like Entourage, True Blood, Scrubs or
Mad Men, and have everyone dress up as a character.
This can work for movies too.

If your group is excited about seeing Where the Wild Things Are, that's
a great opportunity to try and create your own costume. You could keep
it simple and try to find a grown-up version of the pajamas that the
character Max wears, or you can go crazy with some feathers, a glue gun
and fake fur to create a Wild Thing. Regardless of how you do it, a pack
of Wild Things will create a stir at any Halloween party.
