Pick the perfect wedding cake

When it comes to planning your wedding, shouldn't the cake be, well, a cake walk? Unfortunately, the delicious finale to your reception often causes a lot of headaches. When deciding what style, flavor and size cake would best suit your wedding, take a deep breath and weigh your options.

A great way to start picking out a cake is to browse online and figure out which styles you like best. Pick a cake that fits with the rest of your wedding theme. An edgy, colorful, asymmetrical cake would be perfect for a modern wedding, while a traditional round cake would be more appropriate for an old-fashioned ceremony.

Once you know what you want, call up reputable bakeries and go in for a consultation. If you give bakers a price range and a general idea of what you're looking for, they should be able to direct you towards your ideal cake.

When it comes to what kind of flavors and filling to chose, not everyone will like the same thing. You could make each tier a different flavor so that guests have a choice, or go with something simple like vanilla. Just make sure to chose a flavor that you and your future-spouse both love.
