In the mood to throw a great party, but not ready to pull out the pumpkins and chocolate just yet? Get everyone warmed up for Halloween by hosting an '80s night at your place.
This theme is fun, casual, and sure to please the crowd. Guests can come decked out in their Flash Dance finest and Frankie Says Relax t-shirts. Provide everyone with glow sticks, glow bracelets and glow necklaces, dim the lights and throw on your favorite '80s tunes.
Provide plenty of '80s snacks like Ring Pops, Doritos and candy necklaces. You even have the option of offering movie-themed food like Pretty in Pink cupcakes or Mystic Pizza.
Party activities can include a Lite Brite competition and a spin art station. Organize a trivia contest to let guest showcase their '80s pop culture knowledge. Ask questions about the movies, music, fashion and politics of the Me Generation.
Get creative with your party favors. Make your guests personalized pins or t-shirts with '80s-style graphics and the date of the party printed on them. Or, hand out cheap pairs of neon sunglasses at the door.
