Unique wedding favors make lasting keepsakes
October 17, 2009
You'll always look back on your wedding, but make it a truly memorable experience for guests by being creative with your wedding favors.
This season, unique items such as beautifully scented soaps, hand-crafted coasters, tea lights and wine bottle-stoppers can all be personalized by engraving or imprinting your wedding date on them. Key chains can make a lasting and practical wedding favor - choose a classic silver-plated oval with your date on it for a keepsake that both the men and the women in attendance will enjoy.
Bridesmaids and groomsmen will like something that they can hold onto forever, but don't feel the need to have your wedding date stamped on all the gifts. Members of the bridal party will appreciate lockets that have a simple thank you engraved on them. For groomsmen, consider a classic fountain pen or a watch.
If you're having a casual wedding, take a less formal route and have t-shirts with the date and location of your wedding made up for all of your guests. This is an especially fun idea for those in the wedding party.
If you and your future spouse share a cause, consider forgoing wedding favors and make a small contribution to your favorite charity in the names of your guests.
