Ensemble costumes, the more the merrier

Do you have a big group going out this Halloween? With a little convincing you can get everyone in on a last-minute group costume that's sure to turn heads.
Take a cue from the New York Times best-seller Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The story features the full text of the Jane Austen classic with a few extra scenes featuring, you guessed it, zombies.
This is a great group costume, because anyone who would like to dress up in a period outfit can do so, while the rest can throw on some torn-up, dirty clothing, draw on a few black eyes and smear fake blood on their faces. Voila! Literary characters and zombies together at long last.
Another great way to get the gang dressed up together is to suggests a theme, like Wes Anderson movies. This gives everyone freedom to pick and choose from plenty of characters.
If you already own a preppy blazer, a beret and black plastic glasses, you're the perfect candidate to play Max from Rushmore. T-shirt dress, black eyeliner and Penny loafers? Margot Tenenbaum would be an easy and fun costume. Just don't forget the European cigarettes and the wooden index finger.
Anyone with a tennis racket, aviators and a brown blazer can play Richie Tenenbaum, and a cowboy hat and face paint will make the perfect costume for Richie's best friend, Eli.
