Host a casino night

A casino party is a great way to get friends together for a night of fun. Invite everyone over and let the chips fall where they may.
Decide ahead of time how you'd like to work the money. You could hand out chips at the door and offer party favors to players who finish ahead for the night, or use the event as a fundraiser for a non-profit organization. If you have a local charity that you support, host the casino night in their honor - let guests know ahead of time, and donate all of the money that you take in at the door Or, simply ask guests to bring canned food and dry goods to donate to a local food pantry.
There are a few variations on casino night that you can pick from - a saloon-style night is fun and casual. Set up casino tables for Texas hold'em poker, and offer guests barbecue fare and plenty of whiskey. (Sarsaparilla for the drivers.) Hurricane lamps will provide an old-west ambiance.
If you would rather host a more lavish affair, choose a 007 Casino Royale theme. On the party invitations, let guests know that black tie is required. When friends arrive in their finest, serve champagne, hors d'oeuvres and shaken - not stirred - martinis. Set up roulette wheels and black jack tables.
