Pick the wedding photographer that's right for you
November 18, 2009
Picking a photographer is an essential step during the wedding planning process. Wedding photos are how you immortalize your big day, and you'll treasure them for years to come. Consider your options carefully, and don't settle on a sub-par photographer - it's worth making room in the budget for such an important part of the wedding.
First, pick a photographer with a style that suits you. Some wedding photography trends include black and white photos which are altered so that only the bouquets appear in color. Others feature a vintage, sepia-toned style, while some brides prefer crisp, clean pictures. Determine what you're looking for and seek out a photographer who specializes in that.
Make sure you trust your photographer as well - you should be confident that they will show up on time and provide the photos in a timely manner. Also, feel free to be adamant about what you don't want photographed. The New York Daily News recently reported that that Christian Oth, the wedding photography studio featured in the film "Bride Wars" is being sued by a disgruntled bride.
According to the news source, the studio posted pictures of Sara Bostwick, a recent bride, as examples of their work on the company's website. Why is Bostwick so livid? Some of the photos show her getting ready for the ceremony, and the bride claims you can see her underwear.
