Set a kitsch kids table this Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a holiday that's all about family and togetherness, but many families have the tradition of designating a kids table for the little ones. (And isn't time slightly out from under adult supervision when many of the best childhood memories are made?) If you separate out the youngsters, make sure to keep their Thanksgiving festive by setting a kid-themed table.
Kids love Thanksgiving, so go as crazy as you see fit. A turkey tablecloth or a cornucopia stuffed with matchbox cars is completely acceptable. And get creative with the dishes, too. Obviously, this is not the place to try out any gorgeous new china or crystal, but make kids feel sophisticated by setting their places with colorful flatware and plastic goblets. Serve them apple cider from a decanter, just don't leave it on the table!
For hosts who would rather not invest in place settings for the tots, just pick up a package of Thanksgiving-themed paper plates, napkins and cups.
If the kids are in a slightly secluded spot, make their table feel extra special by setting up balloons and streamers as a surpirse, or have them help decorate to get them excited about the feast and enthused about their table.
