Marc Jacobs party: Wedding or not?

There was much speculation in the fashion world today that Marc Jacobs and his long-time boyfriend Lorenzo Martone had tied the knot when a picture surfaced of the pair wearing white and standing behind a wedding cake. It was rumored that the two had said their I-dos in St. Barths.

However, a rep for Jacobs told InStyle magazine, "Someone had a party for them, but there was not wedding. They are still engaged."

So, it remains to be seen if the couple is just being coy with the press or if they really have made the leap.

The photograph features a smiling Jacobs and Martone surrounded by well-wishers and posing in front of a tiered white cake topped with two male figures: one resembling Jacobs in a suit, and one of the tattooed Lorenzo, shirtless and sporting a kilt.

Whether the event was an engagement party or wedding reception, we're sure that everyone had fun either way.
