Throw a princess party for the special little girl in your life
May 26, 2010
Little girls are just too cute, aren't they? Most of them love to prance around in adorable dresses, step into their mom's high heels and play with their big sister's make up. In an effort to look all "grown up," they wind up tugging at our heartstrings.
When their birthday rolls around, there's no better way to make them feel super-special than with a princess party. The fantasy characters represent the ultimate idea of beauty and royalty, which a lot of little girls want to emulate. So why not take the time to plan out the most memorable of all princess parties?
To start, make sure you pick a good theme. Ask your little one which Disney movie they adore and go from there.
Once you have that squared away, plan out your princess decorations. If your daughter decides she is crazy for The Little Mermaid, why not enhance the venue with an Under the Sea motif?
Try finding a bunch of streamers and banners that are adorned with aquamarine colors. Also, consider hanging up lanterns in the shape of corals, lobsters or a school of fish. Of course, don't forget to print out photos of Ariel, Sebastian and Prince Eric and place them all around the room.
If your little one is a fan of Aladdin, try decorating your home or venue with an Arabian Nights theme. Find Moroccan-style banners and streamers and purchase a bunch of balloons that evoke feelings of a dessert locale. Also, images of Princess Jasmine and Aladdin should be placed all around the party. Of course, don't forget about the magic Genie!
Kids who adore Beauty and the Beast are going to squeal with delight for a castle motif. Try purchasing a number of streamers and banners that will turn the event space into something royal. Also, do your best to locate paper plates and cups that have images of the silverware that came to like in the film. Of course, make sure photos of Belle and The Beast are hung up everywhere.
While Disney princess parties are bound to be a blast, you're going to need a bunch of princess party novelties. No matter what movie your little one adores, these party additions will secure your status as the best mom or dad in the whole world.
For starters, don't underestimate the magic a tiara can bring! These items will really help your child feel special and allow them to imagine that everyone should bow down to them. If you want to hand out one to all party guests, make sure your guest of honor's is the biggest and brightest in the room.
When these little girls grow up, they'll be tossing out their Barbie Dolls and replacing them with posters of the next teen idol. So cherish this time and celebrate it as best as you can. Make sure you take lots of photos to remember the moment forever.
