10 Most Fascinating People of the Year

Last night Barbara Walters hosted her annual “10 Most Fascinating People of the Year” special.  If you missed it, you’re in luck because you can catch snippets of the interviews here. 

Barbara chose quite the eclectic group of people this year from General Petraeus to the cast of the Jersey Shore. 

If you’re itching to throw a party and can’t wait until New Years Eve, take a tip from Babs and throw a “2010 in Review” party.

Guest List

Be sure to invite the year’s hottest celebs.  Your party will be nothing if Edward, Bella and Jacob don’t attend.  And who knows what kind of spell Harry Potter will cast on you if he doesn’t make the guest list.  Need some entertainment?  Justin Bieber’s got you covered.

Décor

Start your decorations off with basketball décor to represent the basketball hype that happened this year surrounding Lebron James and Dwayne Wade.  Stick a few basketball cutouts to your wall and hang a bundle of basketball balloons around your home.  Be sure to keep Heat and Cavs fans at opposite ends of the party. 

Attire

Have guests dress as America’s number one guilty pleasure: the cast of The Jersey Shore.  Throw on a vinyl newsboy hat, rock some neon hair extensions and never, ever take off your sunglasses.  If you’re lacking real tattoos, get a tattoo shirt or arm sleeve.  Hang a shot glass necklace around your neck and voila, you’re Snooki!

The fun doesn’t have to end there.  Just think of all of the scandals that went down in 2010: the iPhone 4 was released, Lindsay Lohan went to jail, Prince William got engaged, Tiger Woods and Brett Favre (need I say more?).  The list could go on and on!  So before you get ready to ring in 2011, make sure you give 2010 a proper farewell.
