Screen Actors Guild Awards Party

Though they have only been with us since 1995, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards have made their mark on the awards show scene.   Having the distinction of being the awards actors receive from their peers, this show holds special meaning for some.  Even though most of us aren’t among them, it’s still entertaining to tune in and see who wins what, as this show often deviates from the other awards shows.

So to celebrate the actors as they celebrate themselves, throw a SAG party!

SAG Awards Party Invites

It’s an odd, but true thing to realize, that actors and actresses do go out and see the movies of their friends in the business.  They actually like seeing movies, too!  Make that a part of your theme by sending out Ticket personalized invitations.  There are a variety of colors to choose from, so you can either give everyone the same or mix things up! 

There are also a wide variety of Hollywood Themed invitations you can go with if tickets don’t mesh with your overall plan.

Regardless of what invites you send out, drop in some Hollywood confetti for an extra touch of stardom.

SAG Awards Party Decorations

The SAG awards aren’t as over the top as some of the others, but they still do rock a red carpet.  When in Hollywood, do as the natives do . . . red floor runner & red rope stanchions set.   Set these up just inside your doorway to give your guests the red carpet treatment as they arrive.

For an outdoor decoration, hang up your own custom banner.  The Director’s Clapboard seems fitting for the occasion and you can have your own message printed in, welcoming your friends!

Make your party feel even more like awards night with the Lights, Camera, Action cutouts.  These items are a great way to cover up bare walls and have an impressive look.

You can keep your film theme rolling by hanging some filmstrip whirls about your space.  This is a great way to bring different parts of your living space into play.  It may be a little hard to hang things from the ceiling, but it adds a different level to your party.

A little garland can go a long way.  Try taking some silver Hollywood tinsel garland and getting creative with it.  Use some clear tape to make fun and interesting patters on the wall, instead of just lining the ceiling or doorw
