New Years Decorations
Since we’re putting the last year behind us, it’s time to get a little out of control one last time. Don’t worry, in just a matter of hours it’ll all be part of last year. So let’s decorate like it’s 1999!
If you did a good job decking your halls for the holidays, then keep up the good work and start with some foil swirls to catch the eye. We’ve got them in silver and gold as well as multicolored (more). Now throw some fringe banners on those walls! Don’t want to buy everything separately? Try a New Years kit. Everything you need and more is already packaged for you!
Are those walls covered yet? Don’t forget the garland! We’ve got silver and gold, multicolored, and blue metallic. Match to your theme or mix it up for this unforgettable night. How about some garland with flare? Check out the cone hat and top hat garland.
That’s probably enough, right? Wrong! Can you say columns? That’s correct, columns. Hang our Happy New Year metallic columns over tables, in windows or doorways. This is one item you won’t see at most parties. Let your party stand out by going the extra distance.
Did we miss anything? Still some white space visible? Try hanging champagne bottle décor, a hanging New Years Toast cascade, and some New Year’s party danglers. And never forget the balloons! Try the standard New Years latex balloons, metallic balloons or the hugely popular Lumi-Loon. But don’t let them fly off; tie them down with fancy weights. And speaking of balloons, your party can actually feature a midnight balloon drop. Here’s the kit, all set up for you. That will keep your guests talking well into the New Year.
Phew, alright, the ceiling and walls are done. Now for your table spread. First, let’s cover up that table. Nothing against your table, but those covers are great. Want to cover up your table with a fun variety of New Years things? There’s a kit for that. Want to piece it together? Here you go: centerpieces, table runner, serving tray, plates, napkins, and cups (all can fit a single theme). Or take your paper ware to the next level with some plastic champagne flutes; drink charms to help remember whose cup is whose. The next level of plates and utensils are available too, thanks to Be Square Tableware.
Don’t want a fancy evening? Then let the drinks flow, turn the music up, lights down, and let the power of LED guide you. Your outfit won’t be the only thing turning heads when you switch on your flashing drink glass. No matter what’s your pleasure, champagne, beer, or a mixer, we’ve got your covered.v
New Years Food
There’s not much to think about when it comes to actual meals for New Years Eve. Most parties are going to rely on appetizers, appetizers, appetizers. So go ahead, entice your guests with a wide variety of quick to eat and slowly savored taste sensations. The Food Network is an excellent resource for ideas which are both simple and unique. Check out the 4-pepper deviled eggs recipe. That’s a personal favorite of mine.
And remember, even if you’re not an amazing cook, there is never anything wrong with big bowls of salty snacks. People may say they don’t want them, but those New Year’s resolutions to lose weight don’t kick in until the next day. They’ll justify eating your pretzels and chips and that’s really all that matters.
Have some sweets available too if you can. A tray of brownies is always nice. Or again, you can buy a bulk bag of your favorite bite-sized candy (try stocking up right after Halloween!) and voila, you’re selection is complete.
Drinks of choice for the evening are usually a free-for-all until the big moment. So be sure to have enough champagne on hand for all of your guests to receive at least one glass. Also make sure to have enough champagne flutes for everyone.
Outside of the clock striking midnight though, everyone is free to drink what they would like. To save many and make sure everyone has what they want, consider a BYOB (bring your own beer) announcement. It’s not being cheap, it’s being smart.
Otherwise, stock your bar with the usual suspects: whiskey, gin, tequila, rum, and vodka. Don’t forget to have juices and soda to mix with. Have at least one kind of light beer as well as a non-light option. And have enough bottles of your basic red and white wines. Merlot and pinot grigio are the safe bets, BUT try moscato (white) and lambrusco (red) to jazz things up. They are both sweeter wines and sure to not disappoint.
For easy beer and soda access, try setting out our New Year’s party-themed inflatable cooler. Not only useful, but also a neat decoration.
Remember: the best parties are the ones everyone can remember. Please drink responsibly.,
New Years Necessities
Once your guests arrive, help them to get right in the swing of things with some much needed New Years necessities. I speak, of course, about hats, noise-makers, glasses, and other fun items like the 2011 Blinky. Have a large assortment of things so that everyone can have something to wear and make noise with.
