Golf Theme Party
If you are a fan a spoiling a good walk, then you must love playing golf! And as much as golf can be an escape from the rest of your life, if you truly love it, then you’ll want to celebrate it! So whether you are a master of mini-golf or a regular on the back nine, we’re going to show you how to party . . . Golf Style!
Golf Party Invitations
To get everyone together and make sure your friends know what time your party tees off, try sending out personalized invitations. These are better than what you will find at the corner store and have extra touches of detail to help set them apart. Styles like, The 19th Hole, Golfer on the Green, and Miniature Golf are simple but effective. The Tee Off, Golfing Fan, and Fairway Golf invites go an extra step, really emphasizing quality.
To add a touch of fun for your recipients, try buying a pack of multi-colored golf tees and dropping an individual one in each envelope!
Golf Party Decorations
Short of turning your yard into a fairway or your home into a clubhouse, there is only so much you can do for a golf themed party. Fortunately, what you can do is pretty great.
Start by making the outside of your space eye-catching for when guests arrive. Take some multi-color pennant banner and string it along awnings, eves, or wherever’s convenient.
Once inside, highlight the fact that some of the best golf courses in the world run along amazing beach fronts. Let your party be amazing too. Place a natural hanging palm tree or two around the room to create a beach side feel.
Your party will really start to shine when you set out some Lumi-Loons. In green, blue, red or white, a Lumi-Loon with (an image of) a golfer teeing off is sure to get your guests talking. Place them with some metallic golf ball balloons and your party theme will really take shape. Don’t forget to anchor your balloons with our golf ball balloon weight.
If you find yourself missing the fringe of the green, you can try lining a table or two with our green metallic fringe skirts. They are also available as doorway curtains.
If your party is meant to help celebrate a tournament victory, then you’ll want to stick up as many #1 trophy cutouts as you can. And if victory was just out of reach, this gold trophy can help ease the pain.
Even the best golfers make terrible swings. Any good party will help to put it all in perspective with a 3 Stooges Golf life sized stand up. With Larry, Moe, and Curly at your party, just be careful a pie fight doesn’t break out.
Golf Party Food
Speaking of pies . . . your guests may be hungry. This is one time where deviating for a direct connection to your golf theme may be necessary. There are not a lot of foods which are synonymous with the game. You could always bake a cake and decorate it to look like something golf related, but when it comes to finger foods and snacks; you’re better off going with traditional party fare.
Try setting out mini Italian club sandwiches for your guests. Anything that can be picked up and eaten in a bite or two is good. Load up a green serving tray with the sandwiches and fill a sectional serving tray with healthy veggies and some dip. A second tray offering some salty snacks or cheese cubes can help round out your offerings.
You can cover your serving space with either a vinyl grass table cover or a plastic one. Set out some 19th Hole lunch napkins, cups, green plates and plastic ware and your guests are ready to help themselves!
No game of golf is better wrapped up than with a nice drink. It’s great for celebrating a new personal best or forgetting that evil sand trap. Offer your guests a variety of cocktails, being sure to also offer them in moderation. For beer and soda, the palm tree cooler will keep with your coastal golf course theme as well as keep drinks cold and nearby for partygoers.
You can either give these as gifts or use them as décor, either way they are sure to be a hit at your party!
The golfer’s survival hat is an item sure to be enjoyed by anyone who plays regularly. Poking fun at nearly every aspect of the game, the hat is an excellent novelty item.
Next time you fish a ball ‘out of the drink’, dry it off with the golf ‘bawl’ towel. Covered with hilarious remarks about all that can go wrong when you swing a club, the towel is both functional and funny.
Another fun hat, the hole in one golf beret, lets the wearer take a little bit of the game with them wherever they go. Wish you spent more time on the green? With this hat, the green spends more time on you!
People usually get water globes when they vacation someplace. Keep this golf ball water globe nearby whenever you want to be reminded of your last visit to the links. Featuring a ball and a tee, you can do your best to get the ball to land on top and stay there!
