Cannes Film Festival 2011
May 10, 2011
Tomorrow marks the start of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. This is the 64th edition of the one of the world's oldest film festivals.
For most of us, the Cannes Film Festival is just an event happening in a resort town in France which features movies we're all probably okay with never seeing. Though Cannes is a great place for epic films and relatively unknown people in the industry to have the spotlight shine on them.
If you love foreign cinema, this is the event for you. The films are almost exclusively European; however other entries do show up from time to time.
What is lost on most Americans, except for maybe in the tabloids or on People magazine, is the fanfare of the red carpet.
In the United States, we love our red carpet arrivals. It's almost more important than the event itself. Red carpet arrivals let you see all the famous people you wanted to see, you get to hear a brief interview with them, and then you get criticize their outfit from the safety and comfort of your living room.
So when you tune in to see the Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet or even just catch highlights later of it all on E!, why not immerse yourself in the entire experience?
Pick up a Hollywood Red Floor Runner to start with. That will be your red carpet. Then add some Red Rope Stanchions.

You can add in some Hollywood Party Tape Rolls or just use a Film Strip Border.

Hang some Filmstrip Whirls and Hollywood Movie Hanging Decorations to complete the look.

Now you're ready to critique!
