Time for a Pool Party!

Pool Party Supplies
If you can’t make it to the beach, but you feel the need to cool off and have a party, then there is only one choice for you: throw a pool party!
The only prerequisite here is that you actually have a pool or at least have access to one. Since a pool is the namesake of this party, it’s important to have for your guests.
Otherwise, grab your swimsuit and throw on some flip flops; it’s party time!
Pool Party Invitations
Though your party won’t be at the beach, pools still make it okay to use tropical, beach, and luau themed invitations. The concept is all the same, just that your body of water is in your backyard or rented from the park district.
Try our Cabana Rio Party Invitations or Island Palm Invitations. Both have an excellent look to them and can be completely personalized. So if your pool party is also for a birthday or other special occasion, we can print it just how you want!
Pool Party Decorations
Since this party is mostly going to be outdoors, you are going to want to consider different types of decorations than if you were setting up in a room with four walls.
If you have any sort of railing by the pool or even just a lining around a deck, try bringing it to life with our Silk Flower Fringe. Featuring color hibiscus flowers and a grass fringe, it will go a long way towards creating a fun atmosphere.
Some Tiki Piñatas can double as décor. Instead of hanging up these fun items, you can set them at the end of tables, flanking doorways, or wherever else a different kind of decoration could be useful.
Stick some Pink Flamingos in your lawn. You can set some in your front yard to let guests know there is a party going on. And you can set some in your backyard where the pool is to keep your theme consistent and to add a splash of color.
If you plan on having your party in full swing after the sun goes down, then you’ll want to have some extra lights for safety as well as for fun! Try hanging our Summer Lantern Light Set up for a great decoration that is also useful. The variety of colors will be a delight for everyone.
As a fun alternative to ‘tiki torches’ you can always try setting out luminaries. By using Tropical Themed Luminaries, you will be able to line areas and help light up walkways. You can also make fun designs on the ground. If you are worried about open flames, don’t be! You can use out LED Tea Lights to ensure your great luminary bags will be good for future use!
Even if you aren’t decorating indoors, you can still decorate the doors themselves. This will help make a fun ‘gateway’ between the real world inside and the theme party outside! Try hanging our Ocean View Custom Door Banner or our Surf’s Up Custom Door Banner.
If you enjoy customizable items and your pool party is for a special occasion as well, then consider hanging a Custom Banner. With fun themes for Luaus, Tikis, Islands, Cabano Rio, Bahama Breeze and many more, you’re sure to find one that’s right for your party!
Pool Party Paper Goods
Paper goods will be a good idea when it comes to water. You might think that they would become flimsy and break, but these paper goods can hold up to some wet hands. The advantage of using them over traditional plates is that these will not break if they slip out of someone’s dripping grip.
We have a number of fun themed paper goods for you to choose from. So depending on the decorations you selected above, you may want to choose a complimentary paper good set.
Our Cabana Rio set features matching plates, napkins, cups and table cover.
Our Island Palms set features matching serving dish, platter, cups, and table cover.
Our Bahama Breeze set features matching plates, napkins and table cover.
Our Ocean View set features matching plates, napkins, cups and table cover.
No matter which set you pick, the styles and colors are sure to impress your guests. You can also try mixing and matching these items to give your party a feel all its own.
There are no rules about what food to serve at a pool party. If you have a variation on this theme, such as a luau, then you can consider going with more Hawaiian fare. But if your pool party is more of a ramped up cookout, then fire up the grill and serve some burgers and hotdogs!
Pool Party Extras
Decorations and paper goods are the must have items for your party, but there are some other great products which can help put it over the top!
A fun Beach Ball Inflatable Cooler is a great way to keep drinks cold and is a step above a bland which foam one from the gas station.
Dress up those drinks with Hula Skirts! Made for bottles and cans, these fun items are sure to put a smile on your guests’ faces.
Some fun Palm Tree or Toucan Straws will also be a nice touch, especially if you are serving some fun tropical drinks.
