I use these 6 inch glow sticks when we go camping. When it gets dark I hang them from easy-up shelter and on any ties downs so you won't trip in the dark.

Very disappointed

When first activated, these do indeed give out a bright white light. But within as little as 15 minutes, they fade to a fraction of their original brightness and turn a funny shade of purple. They glow for quite a few hours after that, but the light output is so low that they are useless as a light source.
