  The lanterns on our 12 foot strand of hanging movie lights and stars garland decoration measure approximately 7 1/2 inches tall with out the stars and the top and bottom measure 5 inches.

I used this for my son's 16th birthday party. It was a Grammy Awards theme. We hung two strands of garland from a support bar near the dance floor. It created a really cool atmosphere.

Overall I was very satisfied with this product and I felt the price was very reasonable. The only "complaint" i had was some of the stars gets folded or wrinkled and are hard to flatten. The lanterns look great though when they are hanging up.
