Yes it is all black on the back. You can put a sticker on it, but you only have room for a 1 1/2" X 2 3/8" sticker.

What material is the clapboard, can you write on it? The description says these are 2 1/2 inches but can you be more specific, how large is just the rectangular part of the clapboard, length and width?
