I bought this for my young nephew to entertain himself with at an adult party he was attending. He was absolutely thrilled with this gun and was running around the house ray-gunning the bunch of us. This gun is sturdy and the lights were awesome.

After seeing some cheap light guns at a street market, we told our son that we'd do some research to find one that is better. In the end, he spent $1 more of his allowance and got a gun that he LOVES. In fact, a week after he got it, we were back at the street market and he compared them -- which was a bit of a joke.
I will add that I marked "durable" as a pro because one of the guns has been dropped twice on a hard tile floor and though something is now rattling around inside the handle, the gun works fine and only the little "sight" light has dimmed a bit.
It is true that these are quite loud, but we also remedied that with scotch tape over the speaker.

I bought these for my son's alien Space party. The ray guns were soo much fun. I gave them out during the party and the kids loved them. Worth the money...( a hint.... They are loud so we put a piece of scotch tape on the speaker to muffle the sound. There was 18 little 5 year old boys running around and the sound didn't bother us.

I bought five of these for use in a college opera... what fun! They looked great on stage and the students had a blast pretending to be Captain Kirk while singing Handel. Looked much better than I thought they would and lasted through three weeks of rehearsals without one of them dying. Enjoy!

We bought these to go with our Alien Halloween costumes and they are awesome! The lights and sounds are really great. The price was better than anything else I've seen and they even came with the batteries. You won't be disappointed.

Used this as an Alien Princess in the annual Princess Party at Besty's Bar in St. Thomas. It was a hit with the other guests. I also recommended this to a friend who was arranging an "Outer Space" Party. Many of the attendees ordered this, and I was later told that they loved it!
