  No, they are glow sticks. Once activated they glow for a few hours and are a one time use only.

We used these as give aways at a festival and loved the fact that they are individually wrapped. They are light and easy to transport too. Everyone loves them, kids and adults ! Perfect give away !

We use it as proof that our visitors paid their admission fee at the observatory. Since we do not have a gate people can wonder in at any time and it helps us easily spot those who did not pay their fee. We use the red pendants since that color does not interfere with maintaining night vision. It is small enough not to be obnoxious.
