We are using these as our wedding favors for our destination wedding in Mexico in a couple of months.

What I love about maracas is that they are the quintessential item that tourist love to purchase when they visit Mexico. It is a gift that suits all ages.

I have done a ton of research on this item and the Windy City Novelties website is the only one that produces a quality and authentic looking maraca for a low, reasonable price.

I placed an order for 3 dozen (36 pieces) maracas. All were in really great condition. We did have one that was broken but I notified their customer service dept and they sent me a pair of maracas free of charge that arrived a day later.

I highly recommend these maracas and this company. They really know how to treat their customers. Heck, I would purchase a car from them if only they sold them.

I was weary about ordering a large quantity item that is labeled as "genuine hand painted" and not receiving a quality product. However, my order of 6 dozen pairs was a great addition to a salsa themed corporate event with dance instructors and dj. They added a great element to my tables as well as an interactive prop and something for my attendees to take home!

This is a rather large set of maracas. Very authentic & festive. The handles are wooden (not painted), so if you want a more rustic look I'd go with these rather than the ones that are fully painted. Customer service was FANTASTIC when I had questions & shipping was quick. Definitely would recommend!

I ordered these to use for my preschool children's Christmas program and they are perfect! I had ordered maracas from another site and was very disappointed with the size and quality. These are very large and most importantly make a LOT of noise! My 30, 4 year olds will be singing Feliz Navidad and using the maracas, they just LOVE them. I will say that they are fragile, I would not use them for younger kids, they need to be handled carefully and my kids are so happy to have them that they are being very careful! A great purchase!

I ordered these for my daughters soccer team for them to cheer one another on from the sidelines. The girls loved them! I saw the same item at a local music store for 10x's the price. We recently were in Mexico and these are the same item that are sold in Mexico and at the same price. If you bang them against one another they may crack - that happened to one. But as long as you just shake them, you should have no problems. One handle came off during delivery but all the beans were still inside so I was able to quickly glue that back together. I would absolutely buy these again!!!

We use the maraccas mostly in Zumba Class. They add a lot to the Latin ambiance!

I ordered these maracas as favors for each guest at our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. They were beautifully painted and had great sound - the perfect accompaniment to the live mariachi music. Our son and daughter in law were told they had to kiss each time someone shook their maracas which encouraged guests to use them frequently! They were surprisingly sturdy and looked terrific with our table decor, adding exactly the authentic touch I hoped they would. We were more than satisfied with them and even gave several pair to the owner of the restaurant who loved them too!

I bought 12 dozen pairs as favors for my wedding [...] The maracas look better in real life than the pictures online. They are AUTHENTIC! This was the best price I found for a good product. The pairs were individually wrapped, which made it easier to distribute them. The service was excellent, and I am extremely satisfied with the whole experience.

I could not be happier with these - I purchased 2 dozen for my wedding in Mexico; Great value and fun colors and all have palm trees on them (although I completely painted over them). There were blue, pink, red, orange, yellow, and purple maracas. The sound was good (enough beans to make a good sound), surprisingly sturdy, and large size (sizes were assorted, but all similar). The handle is not painted at all, just wood. I would highly reccomend!
