    Are these footballs fabric covered or plastic/vinyl? Could we write something "Viola Lake 2012" in the white space using a waterproof marker?

      Our 5 1/2 inch soft stuff red white blue US flag football are soft and would be fun to use in a pool but are not made to be water soaked and it may lessen their length of use.
