i read previous reviews about the air valve popping open. i filled the gloves with air and punched with them. immediately the valve opened. i put a piece of duct tape over the valve and they worked perfectly. it hurts to get hit in the face--i have school aged boys they like to hit so i suggest using a bike helmet or other comparable object. but big fun for sure!!
