Adult Glow-stick party
June 23, 2009
So it's after the 4th of July and there are still a couple of packages of glow-sticks that somehow didn't get used. Why not throw an adult party with a club atmosphere with the holiday leftovers?
This can be an easy and quick party to put together, mainly because there aren't a lot of decorations involved. The only important element is to have enough room either inside your house or outside for a dance floor.
Situate the stereo (or the iPod hooked up to speakers) in the corner of the room, but be sure it can be accessed easily if a song needs to be skipped or the volume adjusted.
For the party invitation, be clear that this is a glow-stick and necklace party and that people should be prepared to enjoy themselves in dim lighting.
As an added element of fun, bring out a black light and have people with lighter colored clothing dance in front of it.
In the end, the glow-sticks will be put to good use and your guests will be able to ride out the 4th of July holiday a bit longer.
