Office lunch party outside
July 10, 2009
With the summer season in full swing, there will be days when it is just too sunny or warm to be stuck in the office.
Office party planner can take this opportunity to schedule an outdoor lunch for their colleagues, which may even increase productivity by giving everyone a chance to relax.
Though people may be in close proximity to each other, placing an official party invitation on each desk would be a good idea. This lets people know it is a scheduled event and not some random get-together outside.
Next, think of a location for the event. A nearby park will work (preferably within walking distance) as well setting up everything in the parking lot.
If it's the latter, consider bringing out a couple of tables and use one for condiments or any extra snacks people have and are willing to share.
One idea is to create a personalized banner or sign and name your party. Naming it something silly like Sunshine Break Day may even catch on, creating a new office tradition.
Don't forget to bring some portable speakers to plug in your iPod or other MP3 player for some relaxing and fun lunchtime music.
