Cookies-making party
July 14, 2009
Everyone loves cookies and there's a good chance that most of your friends have a special recipe they may want to share.
With those elements in mind, it's the perfect opportunity to throw a memorable cookie party where your guests can showcase their unique desserts and sample a plethora of yummy treats.
First, make sure it isn't too crowded in the kitchen and either keep the guest list to a few people or work out a schedule so that no more than two to three bakers are in there at once. Also be sure there are not duplicate recipes so that there are a variety of cookies to choose from at the end.
One idea is to personalize aprons for your visiting chefs and either put their name on them or create a fun moniker for the group that everyone can share. Something like The Cookie Patriots could convey the element of creativity and fun at the party.
Finally, provide small tin cans and make sure everyone goes home with a collection of cookies from the day, so that they can be shared among their family or eaten privately later on.
