Serve 'Green Eggs and Ham'
August 17, 2009
One of the most beloved Dr Seuss books can be an inspiration to party planners everywhere, provided they like green eggs and ham.
Yes, even on a train.
The popular children's book, where the protagonist Sam I Am is offered the meal green eggs and ham in various locations, is a great way to get the little ones excited about reading. This may be thanks to the fact that the book includes a fun little meal.
In order to make green eggs and ham, all a person needs is some green food coloring and thick pieces of ham (they cook better in the pan and are more flavorful).
It may be easier to make scrambled eggs with this activity. Be sure to only use a couple of drops of the food coloring.
Once the meal is complete, be sure to read the story to the party guests and consider serving it in various locations around the house. When they refuse, you know what to do. Just take a cue from Dr. Seuss and start rhyming as much as possible.
