Celebrate the new show 'Glee' with your singing friends
August 28, 2009
On Wednesday, September 9, Fox will debut a new show titled Glee, a one hour comedy about high school students trying to get their small glee club off the ground.
The show was initially given a sneak peak a couple of months ago and featured the cast doing an a cappella version of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'.
People who have friends who love to sing, and who got excited by watching the pilot early, can through a Glee-watching party.
First, decide if this will be a one-time thing or if you plan having people over on a weekly basis to watch the show.
Consider having a karaoke or singing activity before or after the show, especially since the program will reportedly feature pop songs re-imagined for a glee club. One episode in particular has the group performing hip-hop artist Kanye West's hit Gold Digger.
As for food, consider having cookies shaped like microphones or candy that you and your guests may be fond of from high school.
Party favors can be personalized mugs or t-shirts that say "Wednesday night Glee Club," or something to that effect.
