Stressed? Have a party and scream about it
September 03, 2009
Given the weakened economy as well as the poor job market, it may be safe to say that there is a fair amount of stress out there.
So why not have a party to de-stress with some friends?
Some health officials have suggested that certain foods can help people relax and treat stressful feelings. These include blueberries, cottage cheese and fruit, and almonds.
For this party, having these foods may be a good way to start to take the stress out of your life and your guest's. But food doesn't work for everyone.
In this case, consider providing pillows that people can grab onto and yell. Having everyone do it at the same time may even by cathartic and help everyone scream out whatever stresses they may have.
Finally, as unique party favors, how about fun stress balls your guests can use when the feelings return? At the very least, they'll be able to use the balls to throw against the wall or at a person who happens to be annoying them.
