Rock out in your living room
September 14, 2009
If your addiction to the new Beatles-themed Rock Band has your friends wondering where youve been, having a rocker-themed party can help you re-enter society without straying too far from your favorite groovy game.
To prepare for your very own indoor jam session, plaster your walls with posters of your favorite artists. For a Led Zepplin light show effect, hang rope lights around your living room or replace boring bulbs with colored ones.
Turn your kitchen into a parking lot tailgate by serving cookout favorites, including burgers, hot dogs, or other grill favorites. Authenticate the experience by keeping canned beverages in a cooler and encouraging everyone to design their own specialized drink tags.
Bring music legends into your very own home by telling your guests to impersonate their favorite rock star and offering prizes for the greatest punk hairdo or rarest concert t-shirt. If you cant stray from your new toy any longer, challenge your guests to a Rock Band battle. Just remember: they havent been holed up playing non-stop since the games release, so keep the showing off to a minimum.
Escaping traffic, crowds and flailing Solo cups can allow you to create your very own rocking experience so long as your guests don't decide to body surf across your living room.
