Real housewives to throw lavish New Year's Eve parties

Fans of the Bravo reality show "The Real Housewives" are likely to be familiar with the lavish shindigs and fundraisers that the ladies on the program like to organize.

But isn't being there in person so much more enjoyable than watching partygoers on television? Well now fans of the housewives have a chance to spend New Year's Eve with two of the lovely ladies.

Danielle Staub, the housewife who was at the center of the table-flipping finale of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," will be hosting a New Year's fete at the China Club in New York City. The event will feature a DJ, an open bar and special accommodations for VIPs.

However, those who prefer "The Real Housewives of New York City" might consider attending Kelly Bensimon's gala at Guastavino's, which is also in Manhattan. Bensimon is a columnist at Page Six Magazine, so there's sure to be plenty of famous people floating around, hoping to see and be seen. However, it's a pretty safe bet that fellow housewife Bethanny Frankel will not be in attendance.
