College Graduation Party
Graduating college is a tremendous accomplishment and definitely one that should be celebrated. Make sure to properly send your graduate off in to the real world by throwing a party to remember!
Whether you want to believe it or not, your graduate is turning into an adult. Let everyone know this by sending out sophisticated invitations. To achieve this classic look, go with the graduation scroll or graduation cap invitations.
If you’d like a more personalized invite, use the graduation class invitations. These invites can be customized according to graduation year and school colors.
For an extra touch, seal your envelopes with gold heart seals.
Decorations and Supplies
For a college graduation, go with a gold and silver theme for your decorations.
Outside of your house hang a large vinyl banner. Customize a cap and gown banner to say “Congratulations, Grad!” If you want something a little more subtle than a banner, get the graduation door cover, which comes with peel and stick letters for customization.
You can also hang graduation Lumi-Loon balloons outside and stake a graduation lawn sign in your front yard so there’s no confusion as to which house on the block is the party house!
Inside your house, dress up your walls with graduation cap cutouts and male or female grad cutouts. Don’t neglect your ceiling and doorways. Hang gold and black star danglers around your house to show that your graduate is a star! Stick with the star theme by lining your doorways with gold and silver star tinsel garland.
Be sure to put graduation cap card boxes around your house so your grad can easily collect the many envelopes your guests will be bringing!
Looking for a quick decoration solution? Nothing is easier than our giant graduation decoration kit!
Graduation parties are usually open house, so set up an area with food and another area with tables for people to sit and eat.
Choose a theme for your paper goods, like our golden graduate line. Make sure to get golden graduate plates, napkins, and “congrats, grad” bottom lit cups.
Dress your food tables up with graduation class table covers and gold star table runners. On the tables place serving trays of mini sandwiches and sliders; chip and dip bowls filled with tortilla chips and salsa or ranch dip and veggies; large bowls of pasta or fruit salad, and any other appetizers you can come up with.
Place graduation class table covers over your eating tables as well. Instead of table runners, decorate these tables with the gold graduation table kit. This kit includes 5 centerpieces, 16 Serpentine rolls, metallic graduation cap confetti and fabric confetti.
Since this is a college graduation and most of the guests will be of drinking age, set up a bar and place a few inflatable graduation coolers around your house so no one goes thirsty!
Your graduate will most likely be ending the night with plenty of envelopes filled with checks, so be sure to thank your guests for their generosity by sending them home with great party favors. Let everyone take home their light up glasses from dinner and add in graduation cap blinkies, graduation LED necklaces and glow sticks for fun.
For a really unique handout, send your friends home with personalized graduation pens. Personalize your pen with up to four different messages. With this party favor, your guests will remember your party forever (or at least until the ink runs out)!
